Victoria Stein, 22 from Puerto Montt, was crowned as the new Miss World Chile in an event held in Bahia Ballroom of the Casino Enjoy in Coquimbo. The 5’9″ tall beauty will represent Chile at the Miss World 2017 pageant which will be co-hosted by Singapore and China.
Victoria Stein speaks both English and Spanish having lived and studied in the United States. Her hobbies include singing and playing guitar. Victoria gushed that her victory was totally unexpected and credited her victory to her hardwork and persistence. She also vowed to work hard to make Chile proud.
No chilean woman has ever won the Miss World crown. The country has only recorded three semifinalists: Margarita Téllez in 1967, Daniella Campos in 1998 and Isabel Bawlitza Muñoz in 2000. In 2011, Gabriela Pulgar made it to the Top 20 of Miss World.
