Shanel James from Baltimore, Maryland has been crowned Miss US International 2017 at the conclusion of the pageant held June 22.
She will now represent the United States at the 2017 Miss International beauty pageant to be held in Japan.
James was crowned by last year winner and Miss International 2016 4th runner-up Kaitryana Leinbach.
First runner-up was Frances LeBlanc of Rhode Island while Vaneza Avila of Texas was second runner-up. Tatiana Ruiz of South Carolina and Elizabeth Barker of Louisiana finished third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
