MISS INTERNATIONAL 2016 3rd Official Hot Picks
Two more weeks to go and the Miss International 2016 pageant will officially kick off. Majority of the more than 70 expected delegates have already been known to the public, so Missosology has once again gathered the pulse of the global fans to gauge who are the hottest and most talked about delegates so far.
The unstoppable Felicia Hwang of Indonesia tops our ranking at this point, which simply shows that her momentum is steadily moving towards the right decision. New photos and updates about Felicia look really promising, and it seems that Puteri Indonesia is very serious about her preparation. Felicia registers really well in still photos, but its something between her two ears that make her even more special. This intelligent young woman is expected to be a front runner in Japan.
Jessica Duarte of Venezuela finally enters the Top 5 of our Hot Picks, and she climbed several notches up, clinching the second place spot. It really helps when new photos about this stunning Venezuelan have been posted lately in social media, which erased some doubts that the Latina beauty queen is being neglected due to the economic situation in her country. Even in the most difficult situation, a Venezuelan delegate to Miss International won’t go unprepared especially when she is defending the crown.
Jessica Tyson, or simply Jess, is vowing to bring back New Zealand into the pageant map since Casey Radley’s outstanding performance in 2013, placing 2nd Runner-up at Miss International. Jess is not just beautiful, but she has a genuine heart for charity works. She was a favorite when she competed at Miss World New Zealand 2016 where she emerged as 1st Runner-up with a charity platform, focusing on preventing mental illness and youth suicide.
Poland’s Magdalena Bieńkowska went down to fourth place, but it does not mean that she is losing her steam. Magdalena is considered by many as the “Face of the Competition” and it will be very difficult to ignore her presence once she arrives in Japan. While physical beauty is a main factor at Miss International, it is also important to have a vivacious and bubbly personality to win the hearts of the fans and the Japanese people. Magda, will surely not disappoint us in that aspect.
Completing the Top 5 is none other than the host delegate, Jyunna Yamagata of Japan. After disappearing on our previous hot picks, Jyunna is back with a bang after the good news was revealed to us that she got accepted to become a TV announcer starting next year in one of Japan’s leading TV station. In fact, just to get through the rigid process of becoming a TV announcer in Japan is like passing through an eye of a needle, but Jyunna’s status as Miss International Japan 2016 has made it easier for her. Height won’t be a factor because people along the pageant circle in Japan is already comparing her situation to Olivia Culpo’s.
The gorgeous delegate from Panama, Daniela Ochoa, is currently in sixth place and she seems very prepared to bring back the pearl crown after 18 years to Panama. She is followed closely by the pageant powerhouse Philippine delegate, Kylie Verzosa, who is very determined to win the crown for the Philippines since Bea Rose Santiago’s epic win in 2013. A new addition into our list is the delegate from Sweden, Maria Taipaleenmäki, who is a blonde stunner whom we expect to be favored by the local Japanese. Last year’s Swedish delegate made headlines in Stockholm after she left the competition and made wrongful accusations against the Japan-based pageant. But with 19-year-old Maria, looks like Sweden will be represented strongly because of her previous experience as Miss Earth Sweden 2015, where she competed in Vienna, Austria. Meanwhile in ninth place is Polina Tsegalko of Belarus, whom we did not really hear of but when her photos were revealed in Missosology, a lot of pageant followers became her fans! Belarus’ best performance at Miss International was a 2nd Runner-up placement in 2007. Completing our Top 10 is the charismatic delegate from Bolivia, Katherine Añazgo. When Katherine competed at Miss Bolivia, she already had lots of followers who have been loyal to her since then. And at MissInternational, we are expecting her to perform well in order not to disappoint her fans and fellow Bolivians. Her exotic beauty is her best asset.
Hong Kong‘s Kelly Chan is now on 11th spot. She has this cute look that is appreciated much in Japan. Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2014 Gabriela Berrios will be back on her third attempt at a Big 5 pageant. She first competed in Miss Supranational 2012 where she placed in the Top 20. At Miss Universe 2014, she won Miss Photogenic. Meanwhile, the newly crowned Miss International Thailand Pattiya Pongthai will try to continue Thailand’s unbroken placement streak since 2013. Hungary‘s Csillag Szabo and Denmark‘s Sara Danielsen are hoping to give their respective country a much needed placement this year, despite the stiff competition.
