The Miss Indonesia 2017 pageant concluded with Achintya Holte Nilsen emerging as the winner in a field of 34 contestants each representing the provinces of the vast archipelago. The pageant was held in MNC Studio, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta last Saturday night, April 22. Achintya Holte Nilsen was crowned by the outgoing Miss Indonesia and Miss World 2016 2nd runner-up Natasha Mannuela and by the reigning Miss World Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico.
Born in Bali, Achintya Holte Nilsen is half Norwegian who mastered the English language, and loves poetry and dancing. She was a finalist of Cover Girl 2013, and has also won Senior Girl Soccer 1st place 2015 and Senior Girl Volleyball 1st place 2014.
Astrini Putri was named as the first runner-up while Ivhanrel Eltrisna Sumerah was the second runner-up. Dinda Ayu Saraswati (third runner-up) and Anja Litani Ariella (fourth runner-up) completed the Top 5.
With her good command of the English languange and her exotic blend of East and West, Achintya Holte Nilsen will surely place high at the Miss World 2017 contest which will be held in China later this year.
