It’s been a week since the delegates arrived in the beautiful Philippine archipelago for this year’s Miss Earth pageant.
The press presentation held earlier this week was a real game changer. But with lot of activities to unfold in the days to come, it is safe to say it is still anyone’s ball game.
Front-runners, however, have started to emerge. And they are leading our post-arrival hot picks.
The bombshell from Ecuador jumps from 18th place in the previous hot picks to number 1! 23-year-old Katherine Espín a few steps ahead in the competition after winning the Miss Earth Hannah’s sponsor title in Ilocos Norte and the Darling of the Press title. Her overall packaging reminds us of Miss Earth 2013 Alyz Henrich. Her eco-video is one of the best, too! If she keeps the momentum going, it won’t be a surprise if Ecuador bags its second Miss Earth crown.
Up five places to the number 2 spot is Russia‘s Alexandra Cherepanova. She probably has one of the freshest faces in the competition. She exudes so much sophistication that her gold medal win in her group’s evening gown competition didn’t even come as a surprise.
Venezuela‘s Stephanie De Zorzi is down a notch to third but this doesn’t mean she’s not shining. In fact, this 23-year-old model is living up to the hype. She’s one of the most in-demand lady at the media presentation. Her bubbly personality and good background story are plus factors.
Completing the Top 4 for now is our pre-arrival leader Corrin Stellakis from the USA. This lady’s knowledge in Miss Earth’s causes is undeniable; however, Corrin needs better styling. She actually looks better with a relaxed hair and fresh make-up,compared to the fully made up look and updo hair during the finals.
Occupying the 5th to 7th spots are Denmark‘s Klaudia Parsberg, Colombia‘s Michelle Gomez and Australia‘s Lyndl Kean. These theree girls are among the most consistent in terms of overall performance. Klaudia oozes with charisma and sophistication. Michelle has a sunny personality that’s hard to ignore. Lyndl has the gift of gab.
In 8th place is Vietnam‘s Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em, who could pull off a huge surprise come finals.
