Lada Akimova from Ekaterinburg was crowned as Miss Earth Russia 2017 on December 12, 2016 in Moscow, Russia at the “Beauty of Russia” pageant. She succeeds Aleksandra Cherepanova and will now represent Russia in the coming edition of Miss Earth 2017, wherein Katherine Espin from Ecuador will crown her successor.
Since its participation at Miss Earth pageant, Russia has successfully managed to grab three noteworthy placements. Natalia Pereverzeva was Top 8 finalist at Miss Earth 2012, Anastasia Trusova was adjudged as Miss Earth Fire in the year 2014. Last year Aleksandra Cherepanova was adjudged as Top 8 finalist at Miss Earth 2016.
