Pageant veteran Carmen Isabel Muñoz Guzmán, representing the province of Duarte,was crowned Miss República Dominicana Universo 2017 at the conclusion of the pageant held Saturday, August 26.
The 24-year-old former Miss International Dominican Rpeublic titleholder, will now compete in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
Jeissy Rodriguez (Santiago) finished first runner-up. She will represent the country at the 2017 Miss Continentes Unidos pageant.
Second runner-up Lytza Álvarez (Santo Domingo Este) will compete in Reina Hispanoamericana. She also won Best National Costume.
Zaidy Bello (Barahona) was named Miss Quisquena (third runners-up).
Kassandra Montadon (Distrito Nacional) won Best Body while Jennifher Danielles Heredia (Independencia) was awarded Best Smile. Miss Communication award went to Lorenne De Oleo (Elías Piña). Missosology.Org
